Decided to support a new local business after seeing a story on the news and I differently was not disappointed. The restaurant was very clean. The owners were very friendly and a pleasure to speak with. The oxtails and stew chicken was great!! Also the house hot sauce is an angry but taste flavor.

Today makes my 3rd time eating at what I would call a top-tier Island pop up spot. From the time you walk through the door until you walk out is nothing but good vibes. Let’s not talk about the food…. OMG. They have shown Love from Day 1. I started with trying the spicy Jerk Chicken pasta and it was stupendous, just know that I went back for more. Also don’t sleep on that Callaloo and Saltfish with some Batchata on the side . Every time that I go back I’m going down the list because so far so delicious, you just have to go see about it yourself. Thanks for all that y’all do. (Lakieta)

Absolutely blown away by my experience at Liberty Island Foods (LIF) if I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the cashier, J****n, who was friendly, professional, and made me feel right at home. The atmosphere was spotless and inviting, with beautiful decor, comfortable seating, and a big-screen TV adding to the relaxed and cozy vibe. The menu was filled with a wide variety of mouthwatering Caribbean dishes that made it hard to choose just one! I decided on the jerk chicken pasta and curry chicken, and both dishes exceeded my expectations. Everything is clearly made to order, a short wait for food that's fresh, hot, and full of flavor is a welcome trade-off. The curry chicken came with rice, cabbage, and plantains, all cooked to perfection and bursting with rich, authentic Caribbean flavor. The jerk pasta was served piping hot and had just the right amount of heat, true to its Jamaican roots. For my drink, I tried the Jamaican pineapple ginger, naturally sweetened with honey. It was slightly sweet but incredibly refreshing and delicious, the perfect complement to the meal. I couldn’t resist also trying the jerk wings. I went with the medium heat level, and while they packed a serious punch, the flavor was phenomenal. Just a heads-up, if you're not big on spicy foods, definitely ask for the mild version. Either way, they’re a must-try! The staff as a whole was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. It’s rare to find a place that delivers on every level, food, service, price, and ambiance, but LIF nails it across the board. I’ve definitely found my new go-to spot for authentic Jamaican cuisine. Do yourself a favor and check out Liberty Island Foods, highly, highly recommended! L White

Been looking for good Jamaican food and boy did they meet the mark. Looked at the menu and the options are plenty. So me and my family tried four different dishes (jerk chicken, stewed chicken, curry goat and oxtail combo plate and oxtail and shrimp pasta). Which was the best? Can’t say because it was all amazing. I’ve eatin Jamaican food in about 10 different states and 4 countries including Jamaica. Outside of Jamaica, it’s the best I’ve had. 10/10 must try again

This might just be arguably the best Jamaican restaurant in Fayetteville and the surrounding area. Every dish I tried was a straight-up authentic hit—nothing missed. The flavors are bold, the spices perfectly balanced, and the food tastes like it was made with real care, not shortcuts. The atmosphere makes you want to stay a while—clean, spacious, and inviting. It feels just as good for a laid-back solo meal as it does for a night out with friends. Drinks? They’ve got you covered. From a wide selection of rum and beer to sodas and soft drinks, there’s something to pair with whatever you’re eating. The menu is impressive—plenty of options, from classic jerk chicken to oxtail and curry dishes. Some plates are cooked to order, which just adds to the fresh, homestyle feel. Portions are generous, too, so you definitely leave satisfied. Service is on point, the staff are friendly, courteous, and genuinely welcoming. The owners bring a true sense of pride and authenticity to the place, which comes through in both the food and the atmosphere. If you want Jamaican food that delivers rich, authentic flavors alongside top-notch hospitality, this spot is a must-visit. You’ll taste the island in every bite.
